Senior Material Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Material Engineer to strengthen our civil engineering team. The role focuses on pavement structures, material selection, testing, and quality assurance to ensure project performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and evaluate material testing and laboratory analyses.
• Design and manage laboratory procedures for material testing.
• Provide technical advice on material suitability based on project specifications.
• Support laboratories in estimating measurement uncertainty and documenting test results.
• Implement and monitor quality control systems to prevent deviations.
• Conduct site inspections, participate in audits, and ensure compliance with OHDS standards and regulations.
• Verify corrective actions for non‑conformities and communicate technical issues affecting quality.
• Develop research procedures and propose solutions to technical challenges.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and internal customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction and material engineering.
• Strong knowledge of standards, guidelines, laws, and group regulations.
• Analytical thinking with a solid technical understanding and affinity for numbers.
• Experience with process flows and measuring equipment in a laboratory setting.
