Senior VAT Consultant

About the role

KPMG’s Indirect Tax practice is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its rapidly expanding VAT team. You will work on complex, multi‑jurisdictional projects for private and public sector clients, delivering high‑quality tax advisory and compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate client proposals and manage multi‑jurisdictional engagements.
• Ensure adherence to risk processes and consult with internal risk teams as needed.
• Build and sustain relationships with client management, acting as an ambassador for KPMG.
• Manage multiple priorities for internal and external stakeholders while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of tax solutions alongside senior colleagues.
• Enhance KPMG’s market reputation through high‑quality delivery and meticulous project management.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in Indirect Tax, specifically VAT, within the GCC region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field with a strong academic record.
• Professional qualifications such as ADIT, ACA, CPA, ACCA, or a Masters in Taxation are preferred.

Required skills

• Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance and advisory.
• VAT audit, assessments and tax due‑diligence.
• Knowledge of Excise and Customs duties.
• Tax accounting fundamentals.
