Site Quality Manager – Wind Farm Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead quality activities for utility‑scale wind farm projects in Oman. The role covers the full lifecycle from factory acceptance testing of turbine components through on‑site installation, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for major turbine components (nacelles, hubs, generators, gearboxes, blades, towers) and approve procedures, test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Act as the primary quality authority during FAT, make real‑time decisions on failures, deviations and non‑conformances, and ensure rigorous documentation and sign‑off before shipment.
• Coordinate with plant quality teams to resolve manufacturing non‑conformances and drive corrective actions prior to shipment.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and pre‑shipment inspections to minimise rework and installation delays.
• Serve as the single point of contact for all on‑site quality issues during installation, commissioning and hand‑over, leading root‑cause analysis and implementing CAPA.
• Evaluate, disposition and approve resolutions for Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and critical deviations independently.
• Oversee retrofit and repair of major components, ensuring re‑testing and final acceptance.
• Lead a team of 6 Quality Engineers, 2 NDT Inspectors and 4 trainees, and interface with clients, OEMs and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in utility‑scale wind farm projects from manufacturing through site commissioning and hand‑over.
• Strong decision‑making skills, able to work independently on‑site and drive corrective actions from root cause to closure.
• Leadership experience managing quality engineers and inspectors.
• Excellent communication with clients, OEMs and internal teams.
