SME Credit Control Associate

About the role

The SME Credit Control Associate is responsible for managing overdue SME accounts, ensuring timely debt recovery while delivering professional customer service. The role focuses on reducing non‑performing loans, improving collection efficiency, and supporting the bank’s financial institutions group.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily reports of SME customer accounts and manage overdue balances.
• Coordinate EMI cheque processing and liaise with the Clearance department and CAD‑RMG for customer and relationship‑manager requests.
• Build and maintain relationships with foreign correspondent banks and local commercial banks to facilitate trade finance transactions.
• Negotiate lines of credit, identify borrowing opportunities, and manage surplus liquidity lending.
• Oversee credit risk, review and endorse credit requests, and manage counter‑party limits.
• Ensure compliance with Operational Risk, AML, and other bank policies.
• Achieve revenue targets, support business development initiatives, and cross‑sell banking products.

Required profile

• Omani national.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Banking or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, credit or collections, preferably within SME or corporate banking.
