Solar Engineer – Owner’s Engineer – Oman

About the role

We are looking for a Solar Engineer (Owner’s Engineer) to provide technical review, construction supervision, commissioning support and performance verification for utility‑scale PV projects in Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Review solar PV design deliverables, drawings, calculations, specifications, method statements, inspection plans and commissioning procedures.
• Supervise PV plant construction activities including module installation, tracker systems, inverter stations and DC/AC collection systems.
• Monitor installation quality, progress, technical compliance and interface requirements with electrical, civil, BESS, grid and commissioning teams.
• Witness inspections, pre‑commissioning, start‑up tests, reliability runs and PV performance testing activities.
• Review performance data, test records, punch lists, non‑conformances and corrective‑action status.
• Support technical meetings, progress reporting, risk reviews and project close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in utility‑scale solar PV design, construction supervision, commissioning or technical advisory roles.
• Experience as Owner’s Engineer, PMC, LTA or EPC supervisor on renewable energy projects is preferred.
