Team Lead – Light Maintenance & Short-Term Planning

About the role

The Team Lead – Light Maintenance & Short-Term Planning is responsible for directing the maintenance planning function to ensure aircraft availability, safety, and cost efficiency. This role coordinates daily and weekly maintenance plans, monitors regulatory compliance, and acts as the primary liaison between CAMO, Maintenance Control Centre, line/base maintenance, and flight dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily and weekly maintenance plans for the active fleet.
• Monitor due and overdue tasks, including flight hours, cycles, calendar items, ADs, SBs, and MEL/CDL items.
• Adjust plans dynamically in response to operational changes such as delays, aircraft swaps, and AOG situations.
• Review and finalize short‑term work packages for line and light maintenance.
• Ensure task cards and maintenance data are accurate and current.
• Lead, supervise, and coach light‑maintenance and short‑term planners.
• Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams to confirm material availability.
• Maintain full traceability and documentation of planned tasks and support audit closure.
• Contribute to yearly budget preparation and identify process inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance planning and short‑term scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of Oman CAA regulatory requirements and CAMO processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a planning team, provide coaching, and manage performance.
• Excellent coordination skills with engineering, supply chain, and operational departments.
• Ability to adapt plans quickly to operational changes and maintain schedule adherence.
