Senior Engineer – Maintenance Program

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Maintenance Program is responsible for developing, controlling, and continuously improving the Aircraft Maintenance Schedule (AMS) to ensure safe, cost‑effective fleet operations while meeting regulatory and manufacturer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain the approved AMS for all aircraft types operated.
• Align the AMS with design state, manufacturer recommendations (MPD), CAA Oman regulations, IOSA standards, and operational experience.
• Evaluate new Maintenance Review Board Reports (MRBR) and OEM data for incorporation into the schedule.
• Perform reliability‑based interval optimization studies and justify changes with supporting analysis.
• Monitor aging aircraft programs such as CPCP and SSIP to safeguard structural integrity.
• Control critical system tasks, life‑limited parts, and shelf‑life forecasting.
• Ensure task cards are clear and accurate for mechanics.
• Liaise with CAA Oman for AMS approval and amendments.
• Maintain compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Safety Directives, and Continuing Airworthiness Instructions.
• Support planning, engineering, and reliability teams with technical interpretation of AMS data.
• Prepare Maintenance Program Change Requests (MPCR) and related reports using AMOS.
• Document revisions, support audits, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance program development and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on reliability data and interval optimization.
• Proven ability to work with CAA Oman, OEMs, MROs, and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented mindset for accurate documentation and record‑keeping.
