Technical Project Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Oman. You will act as the primary technical focal point, coordinating engineers, consultants, EPC contractors, lenders, regulators and internal teams from development through commercial operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies for solar PV sites, including resource analysis, layout optimisation and GIS‑based screening.
• Perform preliminary BESS sizing, dispatch strategy and C‑rate calculations aligned with solar generation profiles and PPA obligations.
• Coordinate technical studies such as PVsyst yield simulations, grid‑connection analysis and balance‑of‑plant design.
• Prepare pre‑feasibility, feasibility and technical due‑diligence reports, defining optimal PV‑BESS configurations.
• Develop and maintain financial models (IRR, NPV, DSCR, LCOE/LCOS) and run sensitivity analyses for investment decisions.
• Review and redline PPAs, EPC contracts and Long‑Term Agreements, flagging technical risks and ensuring alignment with design assumptions.
• Support RFP preparation, EPC tender evaluation and monitor project timelines, risks and deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background in solar PV and battery storage projects.
• Proven project‑management experience on utility‑scale renewable energy developments.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including owners, lenders, regulators and contractors.
• Excellent analytical skills for technical and financial assessments.
