Audit Internship – Assurance Service Line

About the role

Join EY Muscat for a 6‑month full‑time internship in the Assurance service line, focusing on external audit engagements. You will work alongside experienced auditors, supporting the delivery of high‑quality audit services to a variety of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of external audit engagements, reviewing financial statements for fairness and compliance.
• Perform audit procedures such as testing transactions, analysing documentation, and evaluating internal controls.
• Collaborate with diverse audit teams to deliver consistent audit quality across industries.
• Apply EY’s Global Audit Methodology and leverage data‑analytics and AI‑enabled tools.
• Contribute to audit deliverables and communicate findings to senior team members.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 18 months) with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Agile, growth‑oriented mindset with curiosity and purpose‑driven attitude.
• Inclusive approach, valuing diverse perspectives.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of Auditing principles.
• Knowledge of Accounting standards and Financial Reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with data‑analytics concepts.
