Commis I – Food & Beverage Team Member

About the role

Join the food and beverage team at a leading hotel in Muscat as a Commis I. You will support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness and ensure correct temperatures.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies.
• Maintain professional appearance and support a positive team environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb.
