About the role
Join the food and beverage team at a leading hotel in Muscat as a Commis I. You will support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix.
- Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
- Monitor food quality, test doneness and ensure correct temperatures.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
- Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies.
- Maintain professional appearance and support a positive team environment.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related food‑service experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb.
