Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (E&I)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join our Oil & Gas projects in Oman. The role involves overseeing all E&I engineering activities from design through commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate E&I engineering tasks for Oil & Gas projects.
• Review and validate electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, datasheets, and related technical documents.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and project teams.
• Manage E&I installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and HSE requirements.
• Review cable schedules, termination details, instrument hook‑ups, and loop diagrams.
• Coordinate technical clarifications and approvals with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and timely completion of E&I work.
• Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and close‑out of E&I activities.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of relevant E&I experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation systems and project execution.
• Proven experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of IEC, IEEE, ISA, NFPA and Oil & Gas standards.
