Engineering Technician – Kitchen & Refrigeration Maintenance

About the role

The Engineering Technician will ensure a high and consistent level of service for hotel guests by maintaining and repairing all kitchen and refrigeration equipment. Working within the Engineering Department, you will support all other operating areas of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on walk‑in freezers, industrial steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, washers, ovens, dryers, dishwashers and water coolers.
• Carry out regular inspections, cleaning and servicing of equipment.
• Log into the work‑order management system to receive, accept and close maintenance requests.
• Install new equipment, fix leaks, adjust wiring and control settings, and replace worn or defective parts.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff, hotel officials and department teams to resolve technical issues.
• Respond promptly to emergency equipment failures, including after‑hours calls.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
