HVAC Supervisor

About the role

Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor for a project in Muscat, Oman. The role involves overseeing all HVAC maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, and leading a technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance tasks.
• Monitor performance and condition of chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, and related equipment.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and breakdown repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance checklists and records.
• Manage spare parts inventory and service requirements.
• Ensure all work follows safety and maintenance procedures, including LOTO.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong supervisory, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good understanding of safety procedures, including LOTO.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with chillers, cooling towers, air handling units (AHUs) and package units.
• Experience with split/window AC units and chilled water pumps.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls and Building Management System (BMS).
• Familiarity with chilled water systems, dampers and ducting.
• Ability to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.
