About the role
Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG is seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor for a project in Muscat, Oman. The role involves overseeing all HVAC maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, and leading a technical team.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance tasks.
- Monitor performance and condition of chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, and related equipment.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and breakdown repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance checklists and records.
- Manage spare parts inventory and service requirements.
- Ensure all work follows safety and maintenance procedures, including LOTO.
Required profile
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–7 years of HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong supervisory, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good understanding of safety procedures, including LOTO.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with chillers, cooling towers, air handling units (AHUs) and package units.
- Experience with split/window AC units and chilled water pumps.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls and Building Management System (BMS).
- Familiarity with chilled water systems, dampers and ducting.
- Ability to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.
