Mechanical Technician – Maintenance & Troubleshooting

About the role

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment to meet availability and reliability targets. The role works closely with the Supervisor and Operations Team to ensure smooth, trouble‑free plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on rotating and static mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Handle tools and equipment responsibly and keep them in good condition.
• Suggest maintenance optimisation strategies.
• Identify, report and, where possible, correct unsafe conditions.
• Respond to call‑out duties as required.
• Monitor equipment performance through daily logs.
• Create and update work orders in SAP/CMMS.
• Execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual checks according to schedule.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the plant during and after maintenance.
• Interact with clients and customers as directed by the Supervisor.
• Follow Emergency Response Team (ERT) responsibilities and comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and company policies.

Required profile

• Experience with mechanical rotating and static equipment maintenance.
• Ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar CMMS for work order management.
• Strong adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Effective communication with supervisors, operations staff, and clients.
