Procurement Officer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Dubai‑based procurement team. The role focuses on sourcing construction materials, equipment and services for infrastructure and road projects across the UAE, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and delivering the best commercial terms.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment and services required for infrastructure and road construction projects.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors throughout the UAE.
• Verify that proposed materials meet project specifications, technical requirements and client standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, quantity surveyors and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs.
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules and commercial terms to achieve optimal value.
• Monitor market price trends and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of material costs and supplier capabilities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and distributors across the UAE.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of project requirements.
• Identify alternative suppliers or materials to support value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Support tendering and estimation teams with current market pricing and supplier information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in UAE construction, preferably on infrastructure, road, highway or utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers, material markets and technical specification verification.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project requirements.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with procurement software.
