AI Cybersecurity Expert

About the role

We are seeking an AI Cybersecurity Expert to lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into our client’s cybersecurity strategy in Oman. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on technical leadership to design, govern, and enable AI‑driven security use cases across IT and OT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an AI Cybersecurity Strategy, operating model and multi‑year roadmap aligned with the Digital Cybersecurity Strategy 2026‑2030 and relevant standards (NIST CSF 2.0, IEC 62443).
• Define strategic priorities for AI adoption across SOC, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response, and security assurance.
• Identify capability gaps, set measurable objectives, KPIs, maturity targets and investment priorities.
• Design and implement AI/ML capabilities for advanced threat detection, behavioural analytics, anomaly detection, threat correlation and predictive security analytics.
• Enrich SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR, NDR and threat‑intelligence platforms with AI‑driven insights.
• Provide expert advice on AI risk, governance, responsible AI adoption and securing AI‑enabled technologies.

Required profile

• Strong experience integrating AI/ML into cybersecurity operations and leadership on AI risk, governance and secure AI adoption.
• Proven track record in advanced threat detection, data leakage prevention, intellectual‑property protection, privacy, model integrity and supply‑chain risk management.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and national AI governance directives.
