Assistant Manager - Network Security

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Network Security will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and management of our network security infrastructure. Working closely with the security team and external vendors, you will help protect the organization’s data and network resources from evolving cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, VPNs and related security tools across HQ, DR, UAT and UAE sites.
• Monitor health and performance of network and endpoint security solutions, responding to alerts and incidents.
• Assist in troubleshooting security issues and coordinate escalations with senior staff.
• Apply security patches using approved procedures and tools.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network and application teams to meet audit, security and compliance requirements.
• Work with the SOC and external vendors to enhance the overall security posture.
• Document incidents, support incident‑response processes and ensure SLA compliance.
• Participate in IT projects, infrastructure upgrades and audit activities, providing documentation and compliance support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent certifications.
• 5–9 years of hands‑on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, F5) and network security solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE4+; CEH is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS, CIS frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
