Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the day‑to‑day operations of the Food & Beverage outlet at Mandarin Oriental Muscat, ensuring seamless service that meets the brand’s luxury standards. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and the wider team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, maintaining efficiency and Mandarin Oriental service standards.
• Ensure team members are knowledgeable about food and beverage menus and can communicate confidently with guests.
• Oversee staffing schedules, shift coverage, and performance management in line with business needs.
• Maintain proper arrangement, preparation, and cleanliness of tables, service stations, and operational areas.
• Handle billing, payment procedures, and equipment usage training for staff.
• Conduct daily briefings, attend departmental meetings, and communicate updates and training materials.
• Manage VIP guest requests and special occasions according to brand standards.
• Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, providing feedback to the team.
