Assistant Vice President – Medical & Life

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Medical & Life will lead the growth and management of Orient Insurance's medical and life insurance portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, the role focuses on building strategic broker partnerships, expanding corporate accounts, and ensuring seamless coordination across underwriting, finance, and service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand the broker portfolio for medical and life insurance products.
• Conduct regular strategic meetings with brokers to develop and grow the portfolio.
• Oversee renewal management and coordinate closely with brokers and the underwriting team.
• Lead operations and service teams to deliver high‑quality client service.
• Prepare and present monthly business and performance reports to the line manager.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on broker performance on an ongoing basis.
• Support the Finance Department with credit‑control related issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop a robust pipeline of corporate accounts each quarter.
• Update and maintain all KYC documentation for panel brokers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of business development experience in medical and life insurance.
• Insurance certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication and people‑management abilities.
