Associate – Investment Banking Advisory

About the role

The Investment Banking Associate will support clients in raising capital and delivering strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions. The role spans debt and equity capital markets, fund structuring, and corporate advisory, with a focus on Islamic finance instruments such as sukuk.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the manager to develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, and contribute to business strategy.
• Participate in the execution of IPOs, private placements, syndications, restructurings, project finance, and buyouts.
• Ensure transactions meet internal risk, return, and ethical standards while complying with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare pitch books, proposals, financial models, presentations, and transaction documentation.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and other internal/external teams for seamless execution.
• Contribute to revenue targets and position the bank as a leading Islamic investment banking provider in Oman and the GCC.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or financial institutions focusing on Investment Banking deals (DCM, ECM, syndications, advisory).
• Strong knowledge of Islamic capital markets, sukuk, and Sharia‑compliant structures.
• Familiarity with local and international capital market regulations and a proven track record in structuring and executing transactions.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM are desirable.
