Automation Trainer for PLC Programming

About the role

ISS International SpA seeks an experienced Automation Trainer to deliver a two‑day classroom course on PLC Programming for technicians and operators working in refinery and petrochemical plants. The training will be conducted in English in Oman and focuses on practical programming, commissioning and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a 2‑day, 9‑hour‑per‑day training program on PLC programming.
• Provide hands‑on exercises covering commissioning, troubleshooting and integration with DCS, SCADA and field devices.
• Adapt content to the audience’s level and ensure clear understanding of IEC 61131‑3 languages.
• Assess participants’ progress and answer technical questions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of automation engineering experience in refinery or petrochemical facilities.
• At least 4 years of experience developing and delivering technical training to maintenance and instrumentation personnel.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with major PLC platforms such as Siemens SIMATIC S7, Rockwell Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix or Schneider Electric Modicon.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131‑3 programming languages.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and integration with DCS, SCADA and field instrumentation.
