Bear Base Superintendent

About the role

The Bear Base Superintendent manages storage and maintenance of BEAR Order of Battle (BOB) Base and Civil Engineering equipment, ensuring compliance with performance work statements and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, account for, and maintain equipment and assets, including visual inspections of newly received and returned items.
• Coordinate shop work assignments, production requirements, and monthly production reports with Operations, Production, and Supply Managers.
• Develop and implement procedures for BOB equipment technical work and train supervisory personnel.
• Conduct CSC inspections on containers, manage parts and tools inventory, and handle temporary duty assignments as required.
• Review technical orders, recommend changes, and research equipment discrepancies for resolution.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with a background in mechanical/electrical equipment or facilities maintenance.
• Minimum five years’ supervisory experience with US Air Force or commercial civil engineering equipment and knowledge of BOB and RED HORSE systems.
• US citizenship required for facility credentials; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain host‑nation license.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 lb and wear required PPE.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Ability to obtain CSC certification.
• Experience with Maximo, Harvest Falcon, Eagle, RED HORSE, and BEAR assets preferred.
• Capability to operate material handling equipment.
