Biomedical Engineer (Part-Time, Hybrid)

About the role

Atlas for Medical Equipment Trading (FZC) LLC, which designs, manufactures, imports, exports and distributes medical devices focused on urology, is hiring a part-time Biomedical Engineer. The role is hybrid and based in Sohar, combining on-site work at medical facilities and offices with some work-from-home flexibility for planning and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, calibrate and maintain medical and urology-specific devices in line with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate repairs and support clinical staff with device operation.
• Maintain accurate service records and assist with equipment evaluations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English and Arabic.
• Ability to work safely in clinical environments and flexibility to travel within Sohar and nearby regions.

Required skills

• Biomedical and clinical engineering skills, including medical device design and clinical applications.
• Equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance, including troubleshooting, calibration and repair.
• Knowledge of urology devices such as urodynamic systems and lithotripsy devices.
• Beneficial: familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards, technical documentation skills, and use of diagnostic tools and software.
