Buildings Engineer – Site Supervisor

About the role

The Buildings Engineer – Site Supervisor will lead on‑site construction activities, ensuring that all building and civil works are delivered to the approved design, specifications, and contractual requirements. This senior position requires strong technical oversight, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and rigorous quality and safety monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction of buildings and associated civil works.
• Monitor quality, progress, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Inspect activities, witness testing and commissioning, and review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervision teams, and clients to resolve construction issues.
• Verify completed works for interim and final payment certifications.
• Prepare site inspection reports, progress reports, and technical recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Registered Civil Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Construction Management or Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of cumulative professional experience in civil engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience supervising building and civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience on at least two projects of similar size and complexity.
• Familiarity with FIDIC Conditions of Contract and international construction standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
