Certified Accountant

About the role

A reputed company in Oman is hiring an experienced Certified Accountant. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, financial reporting and compliance with international accounting standards; candidates with prior experience in an auditing firm are preferred. Gulf experience is not mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit financial records, company accounts and contracts.
• Prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Handle tax authority queries and provide the required documentation.
• Prepare, review and audit financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with International Accounting and Auditing Standards (IAS/ISA).
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on audit and finance matters.
• Support financial planning, reporting and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Certified Accountant or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or auditing.
• Experience in an auditing firm is preferred.
• Good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IAS/ISA, taxation, financial reporting and auditing procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
