Certified Nursing Assistant – Rehabilitation Centre

About the role

The Ministry of Social Development is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its Rehabilitation Centre in Oman. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, providing safe and basic nursing care to residents with physical, cognitive, and functional disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Support nurses in delivering care to residents with physical and cognitive impairments.
• Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as trained and authorized.
• Help with positioning, turning, mobilization, transfers and bed making to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Provide mobility assistance using wheelchairs, walkers or other devices.
• Assist with meals, hydration and feeding as directed.
• Support care for residents with urinary catheters, tracheostomies, PEG tubes and other medical devices under nursing supervision.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in residents' physical or mental condition.
• Participate in pressure‑injury prevention, skin observation and infection‑control practices.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow emergency protocols when needed.

Required profile

• Complete Dataflow verification for qualification, license and experience.
• No Prometric examination required.
• Attend and pass the Ministry of Health Viva examination.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
