Communications Officer – ARISE Program

About the role

The Communications Officer will serve as the focal point for communications and stakeholder engagement for the Oman ARISE Program, based in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate. Reporting to the ARISE Program Lead and the Head of Communications at GGGI headquarters, the role drives the implementation of the program’s communications and territorial marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the ARISE Communications and Territorial Marketing Strategy in line with program objectives and GGGI brand standards.
• Lead territorial marketing to showcase Dhofar’s ecological assets as investment‑grade opportunities.
• Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, organizing briefings, and preparing talking points for senior officials.
• Plan and run community awareness campaigns, such as the BICAB outreach initiative, to connect program goals with local needs.
• Produce bilingual (Arabic and English) communications assets – press releases, newsletters, impact stories, multimedia content, and social media campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement, preferably within environmental or development programmes.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple partners, including government agencies and local communities.
• Strong written and verbal skills in both Arabic and English.
