Construction Manager - Dredging

About the role

Mace is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead dredging and marine construction activities for a large‑scale port development. You will work on a state‑of‑the‑art facility that will handle millions of tonnes of bulk cargo and support regional economic diversification.

Key responsibilities

• Lead review of bathymetric and marine survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise dredging, reclamation and marine construction works on site.
• Ensure all activities meet contract requirements, technical specifications and approved designs.
• Maintain full‑time onsite presence, overseeing delivery, quality and progress.
• Verify lines, levels and tolerances across dredging and reclamation works.
• Review contractor inspections, approve works or raise non‑conformance reports.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and project teams to achieve timely, cost‑effective delivery.
• Support net‑zero carbon transition by identifying and managing associated emissions.

Required profile

• Registered Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 20+ years of experience in marine surveying and dredging, including 10+ years in port/marine design review and construction.
• Proven experience on at least two marine construction and design projects in a similar capacity.
• Strong site‑based supervision and marine surveying expertise.
• Consultancy background with ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
