Core Banking Specialist

About the role

The Core Banking Specialist is a technical professional responsible for implementing and supporting the Equation core banking solution. The role involves developing internal APIs, resolving technical issues, and coordinating with users, vendors, and internal teams to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical management, support and development of core banking applications, ensuring system stability and service continuity.
• Oversee delivery of system enhancements, releases and interface testing, guaranteeing technical readiness for production.
• Manage vendor performance, resolve complex incidents and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Engage business stakeholders to assess issues, define requirements and prioritize changes aligned with operational impact.
• Drive continuous improvement of core banking functionality, performance, reliability and user experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector or in IT companies supporting financial institutions.

Required skills

• Experience with the Equation core banking solution.
• API development and integration expertise.
• Familiarity with Mysis products such as TI.
