Digitalization & IT Manager

About the role

The Digital & Technology Manager will lead the execution of IGC’s digital strategy, overseeing the modernization of enterprise technology, integration of operational platforms and delivery of IT services. Working closely with business units, IT Operations, Architecture and Data teams, the role ensures that technology initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Digital & Technology Strategy aligned with corporate objectives, Oman Vision 2040 and Net Zero 2050 commitments.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Digital & Technology function, guaranteeing reliable, secure and efficient IT and digital services.
• Oversee enterprise infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, ERP systems, collaboration tools and end-user computing to maintain high availability and business continuity.
• Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation, automation, process digitisation and technology modernisation projects that generate measurable business value.
• Control the digital portfolio from business case development through implementation, benefits realisation and operational support.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to simplify processes, increase digital adoption and maximise technology ROI.
• Establish and maintain enterprise architecture, systems integration, data governance and technology standards.
• Lead development of enterprise data, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and digital solutions to enhance operational performance and executive decision-making.
• Provide executive oversight of cybersecurity, Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and SCADA environments.

• Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation and technology modernisation programmes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple business functions.
• Strategic mindset aligned with national energy priorities and sustainability goals.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technology initiatives to executive leadership.
