About the role
The Director of Communications leads the school’s communications, marketing and public‑relations strategy. Based on‑site in Muscat, this senior professional ensures consistent, clear messaging across all internal and external channels.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications, marketing and PR plan aligned with school objectives.
- Oversee internal and external communications, including newsletters, website content, social media and print materials.
- Manage media outreach, draft press releases, coordinate responses to inquiries and act as spokesperson when required.
- Plan and schedule communications campaigns that support admissions and broader marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the principal, senior leadership, academic staff and admissions team to promote events and monitor public perception.
- Maintain the school’s brand voice and ensure consistency across all platforms.
Required profile
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field; advanced degree or certifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience in strategic communications, public‑relations and media relations, preferably in an educational, international or not‑for‑profit setting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and advise senior leaders.
- Capacity to work on‑site in Muscat, manage multiple projects under time pressure and uphold high professional standards.
