Drilling Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a leading oil and gas client in Oman to appoint a Drilling Maintenance Manager. This senior leadership position oversees the maintenance and workshop operations for drilling and rig equipment, ensuring high reliability and safety across a large‑scale facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 50+ technicians and engineers in the daily maintenance of drilling rigs and associated equipment.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes in line with API Q1 and ASME standards.
• Manage workshop resources, spare‑parts inventory, and budgeting to optimise operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering and safety departments to minimise downtime and support production targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in drilling or rig equipment maintenance within oilfield services or drilling contractors.
• Proven leadership of large technical teams (50+ personnel).
• Strong knowledge of API Q1 and ASME standards.
• Excellent operational planning and people‑management capabilities.
