Electrical & Planning Engineer – Substation

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Muscat focuses on the planning, design and review of electrical systems for substations within real‑estate development projects. You will ensure that all solutions meet technical standards, safety regulations and project constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical layouts, equipment specifications and power distribution plans for substation projects.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants and contractors to align technical solutions with project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct technical assessments, prepare documentation and reports, and oversee installation and commissioning activities.
• Support quality‑control and risk‑management processes for all substation‑related works.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate substation planning into broader infrastructure strategies.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering and planning, specifically with substation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in power systems or substation design are a plus.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, manage technical documentation and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, relevant codes and best practices in substation operations.
