About the role
A leading integrated steel producer in the GCC seeks an experienced Electrical Shift In‑Charge to oversee the DRI plant for a Green Steel / Low‑Carbon Steel project in Duqm, Oman.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise all electrical activities during assigned shifts.
- Lead commissioning, start‑up and maintenance of DRI plant electrical systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving on‑site.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year of electrical experience in DRI plant operations.
- Experience with MIDREX or HYL ENERGIRON technologies is preferred.
- Background in electrical plant operations, maintenance, commissioning and start‑up.
- Ability to supervise and lead electrical teams during shifts.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification preferred.
