Environmental Management Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Manager, Environmental Management to lead the development and execution of our environmental strategy across operated assets and projects in Oman and internationally. The role will translate regulatory and corporate requirements into robust standards, drive decarbonisation initiatives and ensure compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the environmental strategy, annual plan, budget and performance targets for offshore, onshore and international operations.
• Translate legislation, permits and ISO 14001 requirements into policies, procedures and operational controls.
• Lead regulatory engagement, permit applications, due‑diligence assessments and compliance reporting to authorities, lenders and joint‑venture partners.
• Drive decarbonisation programmes, GHG monitoring, emissions reporting and integration of net‑zero targets.
• Manage the Environmental Management team, develop capability, ensure Omani‑isation and oversee technical deliverables.
• Oversee impact assessments, risk assessments, audits, emergency‑response plans and environmental assurance for projects and operational changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical or Process Engineering; postgraduate qualification or certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or NEBOSH Environmental Diploma is advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of post‑qualification experience in environmental engineering or management, preferably in the oil‑and‑gas sector, with proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated experience with Omani environmental legislation and international standards (ISO 14001, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles).
