ETL Developer & Data Warehouse Specialist

About the role

KalSoft is looking for an experienced ETL Developer & Data Warehouse Specialist to join its Oman team. The role focuses on designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining scalable data integration solutions and data warehouse environments, ensuring high performance, availability and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and create SSIS mappings using transformations such as OLEDB Command, Conditional Split, Lookup, Aggregate, Multicast, Derived Column, etc.
• Develop dynamic SSIS packages for cross‑platform data migration, validation and archiving across various RDBMS.
• Write complex stored procedures and user‑defined functions to support SSIS packages and SQL scripts.
• Implement ETL and data integration processes using SSIS for data‑warehouse reporting.
• Develop SSAS solutions including storage, partitions, aggregations, MDX calculations and data‑mining models.
• Support BI reporting with SQL and MDX queries and ensure proper data modeling using star and snowflake schemas.
• Implement and maintain high‑availability/disaster‑recovery solutions for BI environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and tune SQL Server performance and ETL workflows.
• Perform SQL Server maintenance and automation tasks such as backup, restore and log management.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Microsoft certifications for SQL Server, Business Intelligence or Data Science.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience with SQL Server administration, development and the SSIS/SSRS/SSAS toolset.
• Extensive experience designing data warehouses using star and snowflake schemas.
• Proven background in high‑availability and disaster‑recovery implementations for BI systems.
