ETL Developer & Data Warehouse Specialist

About the role

KalSoft is looking for an experienced ETL Developer & Data Warehouse Specialist to join its Oman team. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance data integration solutions and data‑warehouse environments that support business intelligence and reporting needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and create SSIS mappings using transformations such as OLEDB Command, Conditional Split, Lookup, Aggregate, Multicast, Derived Column, etc.
• Build dynamic SSIS packages for cross‑platform data migration, validation, and archiving across various RDBMS.
• Develop complex stored procedures and user‑defined functions to support SSIS packages and SQL scripts.
• Implement ETL and data‑integration processes for data‑warehouse reporting.
• Create SSAS solutions including storage, partitions, aggregations, MDX calculations, and data‑mining models.
• Support BI reporting using SQL and MDX queries.
• Ensure proper data modeling using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Implement and maintain high‑availability/disaster‑recovery (HA/DR) solutions for BI environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise SQL Server performance and ETL workflows.
• Perform SQL Server maintenance and automation tasks (backup, restore, log management, etc.).

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Microsoft certifications for SQL Server, Business Intelligence, or Data Science.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in SQL Server administration and development (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
• 3+ years of extensive experience with the SSIS tool suite.
• 2+ years of experience with SSAS (storage, partitions, aggregations, MDX, data‑mining models).
• 3+ years of experience in data modeling using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• 2+ years of experience with HA/DR in BI environments.
• 4+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries for MS SQL Server and Oracle.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL Server automation and maintenance operations.
