F-16 Simulator Instructor

About the role

This full‑time position is for an experienced F‑16 Block 50 instructor to deliver academic and practical training on Full Mission Simulators (FMS) at Thumrait, Oman. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pilot training courseware and support the development of training material.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct pilots in ground and flight procedures using the FMS and Instructor Operating Stations (IOS).
• Prepare lesson plans, schedules and maintain accurate training records.
• Evaluate student performance and ensure course standards and objectives are met.
• Serve as SME for updates to pilot training courseware and assist in creating new training material.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Current or former F‑16 Instructor Pilot with a minimum of 1,000 hours F‑16 flight time.
• At least 1,500 hours of fighter flight time in fourth‑ or fifth‑generation multi‑role fighters.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (investigation or CV within the last 5 years).
• Lawful eligibility to work in the United States and to complete a U.S. government I‑9 form.

• F‑16 Block 50 aircraft operation.
• Full Mission Simulator (FMS) operation.
• Instructor Operating Station (IOS) proficiency.
• Fighter flight operations and tactics.
• Experience as a USAF Instructor Pilot (UPT/FTU).
• Weapon School training (preferred).
