Field Operator Intern

About the role

This internship supports the operational stability of a production plant, helping to improve plant conditions and meet production targets. The intern will operate and monitor process equipment, perform routine maintenance, and follow QHSE guidelines within the designated area.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor operational parameters in the field and record them in log‑sheets.
• Execute shutdown and start‑up procedures as required.
• Coordinate with the Control Room Operator on operational parameters during normal operation, start‑ups, and shutdowns.
• Top up oil and cooling systems and oversee on‑line chemical injection where applicable.
• Provide shift handover information to maintain or improve plant performance.
• Carry out daily, monthly and quarterly checks and frontline maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree in Industrial Processes, Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in oil and gas production or process field operations.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and analytical mindset.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
