Field Service Engineer – Instrumentation & Control

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer specializing in Instrumentation & Control (I&C), you will deliver technical services and expert advice to customers in power generation and refinery environments. You will be the primary technical contact, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical industrial equipment through on‑site and remote activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on I&C systems at customer sites and via remote access.
• Execute software and hardware updates to maintain system integrity and performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical faults in power plant and refinery settings.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures for control systems, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
• Install, commission, and test I&C products and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry cybersecurity standards.
• Optimize control sequences and logic according to operational procedures.
• Configure field instrumentation for accurate data acquisition and control.
• Act as the primary technical advisor for customer inquiries and implementation challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control & Automation, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in field service for industrial I&C systems.
