Finance & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Join an international finance team within the DEME Group, handling everything from accounts payable to tax compliance and audit support. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can expand your expertise beyond traditional bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Process and post supplier invoices, ensuring timely approvals and accurate records.
• Manage vendor and intercompany communications as the primary financial contact.
• Execute weekly payment runs and prepare payment files using the company’s financial systems.
• Record bank transactions, monitor cash positions, and contribute to working capital reporting.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and journal entries.
• Prepare tax filings such as VAT, withholding tax and corporate income tax.
• Provide financial information and documentation to internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Analytical, accurate and able to work in a structured manner.
• Proactive attitude with ownership, initiative and problem‑solving mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in financial software.
