Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the full spectrum of financial management for a leading construction company in Muscat, Oman. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, VAT compliance, and project cost accounting in line with IFRS and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain a complete general ledger for both entities, ensuring proper journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and period‑end adjustments.
• Manage client invoicing, receivables, and cash receipt records in the ERP system.
• Process and approve vendor, subcontractor, and supplier invoices according to the Group Authority Matrix.
• Oversee bank accounts, daily cash position, and liquidity to meet project payments, payroll, and vendor commitments.
• Lead the annual budget preparation process and monitor monthly performance against budget.
• Handle all VAT obligations, prepare quarterly returns, and ensure timely submission to the Oman Tax Authority.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure statutory financial compliance.
• Implement and monitor financial controls, manage payroll financial oversight, and maintain ERP finance module data integrity.

Required profile

• Qualified CA or ICWA.
• 15–20 years of finance and accounts experience in construction, project‑based, or engineering services firms.
• Preferably worked in Oman and familiar with local laws and regulations.
