Frac & Stimulation Manager

About the role

The Frac & Stimulation Manager will act as the technical authority for all active hydraulic fracturing and stimulation operations across the Sultanate. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of complex well treatments while leading multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multiple active wellheads and execution footprints, reviewing post‑job data, pressure charts, and chemical/proppant consumption logs for invoicing accuracy.
• Lead daily safety meetings, pre‑job briefings, and coordinate technical handovers between rotating crews.
• Direct multi‑fleet execution of slickwater, cross‑linked gels, high‑viscosity friction reducers, and acidizing designs according to client specifications.
• Partner with field maintenance to monitor high‑pressure pumps, blenders, hydration units, and ensure preventative maintenance cycles.
• Manage safe rig‑up, pressure testing, and rig‑down of high‑pressure treating iron, enforcing annual recertification and wall‑thickness tracking.
• Supervise QA/QC of water sources, linear gels, and proppant sieve profiles before blending.
• Develop technical competency of supervisors and operators, focusing on pump diagnostics, screen‑out prevention, and emergency shutdown protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Logistics.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, specifically in hydraulic fracturing and well stimulation.
• Proven leadership in managing multi‑disciplinary field teams and ensuring safety compliance.

Required skills

• Hydraulic fracturing design and execution (slickwater, cross‑linked gels, high‑viscosity friction reducers, acidizing).
• Operation and maintenance of high‑pressure pumps, blenders, and hydration units.
• Pressure testing and iron rig‑up/rig‑down procedures.
• QA/QC of water sources, gel formulations, and proppant sieve analysis.
• Pump diagnostics and emergency shutdown procedures.
