Head of Quality

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Quality to lead quality assurance activities for a major oil & gas operator in Oman. The role will oversee fabrication, welding and NDE processes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain interfaces with the Yard Fabrication team to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Coordinate with welding and NDE inspectors to identify, communicate and rectify welding‑related quality concerns.
• Liaise with the Systems Completion team to align inspection records with system hand‑over requirements.
• Provide continuous feedback on quality performance, expedite closure of lessons learned and support EPC contractor, subcontractor and vendor quality monitoring.
• Participate in safety management programmes, including site safety walks and observation reporting.
• Manage site non‑conformance and technical deviations in collaboration with the Head of Quality and engineering teams.
• Capture lessons learned from fabrication activities and drive process or specification improvements.
• Identify progress or quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of quality experience in the oil & gas industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or acting supervisory role.
• Additional qualifications in quality, welding or NDE inspection are preferred.
