Health and Safety Consultant

About the role

Marsh Risk Consulting is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Consultant to work from Doha, Qatar. The consultant will help clients across construction, oil & gas, utilities and heavy industry improve their risk management and embed robust HSE practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored HSE consulting projects to improve client risk management.
• Review client operations, identify and analyse health, safety and environmental risks.
• Develop comprehensive HSE documentation and embed it into client processes.
• Conduct on‑site visits to assess HSE capabilities, identify gaps and produce corrective‑action reports.
• Provide in‑person and online training on health, safety and environmental management.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Offer risk‑management advice and consultancy on HSE matters.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to support business growth.
• Collaborate with key business leaders to deliver value‑added HSE services.
• Develop and present propositions and solutions aligned with client and market needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, engineering or a related field.
• 5–15 years of consulting experience in construction, oil & gas, utilities or heavy industry.
• Native‑level (C2) English proficiency.
• Proven senior advisory or consultancy experience, including delivery of projects in the UK market.
• Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and management systems.
• Experience managing multi‑disciplinary, high‑risk projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
