Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor (Madinat Al Irfan, Muscat)

About the role

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott's quality standards after cleaning. This full‑time onsite position coordinates housekeeping activities, works closely with engineering, front office and laundry teams, and supports daily operations at the Madinat Al Irfan property.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update room status for departing guests and communicate changes to the next shift.
• Act as liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve issues.
• Document and resolve discrepant‑room problems with the Front Desk.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow safety, security and company policies; report maintenance problems and safety hazards.
• Maintain professional uniform appearance, protect company assets and uphold confidentiality.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk, kneel and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
