Import Export Trade Finance and Investment Expert Advisor - Country Manager

About the role

This is a freelance, part‑time, virtual remote role for an International Trade Finance Consultant/Manager (TFM) who will act as Country Manager. The role involves marketing SVG's products and services, overseeing operations in a specific country, developing business strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving growth.

Key responsibilities

• Market SVG’s financial products and services to local clients.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and manage budgets in the assigned country.
• Develop and implement business strategies to expand market share.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and banking requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and lead a professional team.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience (CEO, Founder, Director, Operations Head) or ownership in trade‑related businesses.
• Proven background in commodity trading, import‑export, logistics, or related sectors.
• Experience with digital sales and marketing strategies that generate qualified leads.
• Strong knowledge of local trade regulations and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and team‑management skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Letters of Credit (LC/DLC) and Bank Guarantees (BG).
• Knowledge of Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) and Proof of Funds (POF).
• Understanding of Bank Comfort Letters (BCL) and SWIFT instruments MT760, MT799, MT700.
