Installation Supervisor for Railway Signalling Projects

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking an Installation Supervisor to lead daily installation, testing and commissioning activities for railway signalling systems on a major cross‑country railway project. The role is based on site and involves coordinating teams to ensure safe, on‑time delivery in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily installation, testing and commissioning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and project requirements.
• Manage and coordinate technicians, labourers and subcontractors, organising manpower, materials, tools and equipment for continuous site operations.
• Prepare and maintain installation, testing and commissioning documentation, and report progress, technical issues and risks to the Engineer and Installation & Site Manager.
• Support troubleshooting, defect rectification and system performance verification activities.
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards, approved procedures and project specifications throughout all site work.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in railway signalling installation, testing and commissioning.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors, with strong coordination and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English and strong commitment to safety and quality.

Required skills

• Railway signalling installation, testing and commissioning.
• Cable pulling, routing, termination and testing.
• Installation and adjustment of balises, axle counters and point machines.
• Work with indoor signalling equipment such as Interlocking, RBC, axle‑counter cabinets, equipment racks and power distribution systems.
• Knowledge of HABD, HWD, RFD, RFID or similar asset protection systems.
• Experience with Control Center/OCC equipment integration (advantageous).
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation procedures.
